Honest Conversations About Mental Health
How do you begin to talk about mental health, depression, addiction, and anxiety? So much judgment and negativity surrounds the mental health profession, oftentimes discouraging people from seeking help. I am a therapist in Austin, Texas, and I am writing this blog to dispell myths about therapy, talk openly about the problems that I see, and give my opinion on matters of relationships, families, mental health, and other topics of interest.
For confidentiality reasons, I will never talk about clients I see. But I will talk about general topics and themes that seem to flow throughout our friends, families, and my field. I will also attempt to provide helpful articles from professionals much more accomplished than I.
These are my opinions, and I hope that they may provide you with insight so that you may open your mind to new ideas and an opinion of your own.
I am really glad I saw that you are following me. I try to make a point to visit the blogs of people who follow, comment and like my blog.
